               Trolley Tours

Go to the Reservations page to make a reservation and for more information.

Each of our trolley tours has something unique. Yet, they also have these same ingredients:

  • You meet at the Franklin Masonic Temple #25 (Upper Alton) to begin the tour
  • You check in at the door to register
  • You hear our "Ghosts 101©" talk
  • You can see our photo albums with some amazing pictures
  • You get the chance to meet some ghosts
  • You ride in an enclosed trolley for the tour
  • 3 times in the tour you actually get off the trolley to investigate
  • You visit the wine cellar of the McPike Mansion, the Alton City Cemetery, the Federal Cemetery and the Milton School.
  • You return to the Franklin Masonic Lodge to end the tour

The locations we visit may have several steps and require a fair amount of walking.
Our tours are not recommended for people who can not easily travel stairs, stand or walk for long periods of time.

All the Trolley Tours use the same tour route. The different names indicate price and/or time difference.

Waking The Dead - Because we provide a different tour every year, and this is our first tour of the Halloween season, it is a dress rehearsal for us. We frequently have to make adjustments and do some fine-tuning. It is bargain priced because it is rough and usually runs over schedule. Be warned, though, it sells out immediately!

Entity Express - The "Entity Express" is the heart of all our Trolley Tours. It is a great tour where you not only hear the history of spooky events; you get the chance to experience a ghost first-hand!

Witching Hour - This is the same as the Entity Express Tour, but it starts much later in the evening. As Alton's residents sleep unawares, you travel the town's deserted streets in search of ghosts. Recommended for night owls.

Eating with the Entities - Our very best tour! It's the same route as our Entity Express Tour, but you also get to eat a fantastic meal (catered by Tony's Restaurant in downtown Alton).

New dates, times and prices will be posted when the schedule is finalized for the 2008 halloween tour season.
