Where do the tours begin?
At the Franklin Mason Lodge in the Upper Alton neighborhood. The address is 1513 Washington Avenue, Alton, Illinois 62002.

Where do we have dinner for the Eating with the Entities tour?
At the Franklin Lodge in the reception room on the lowest level.

I have trouble walking long distances and stairs. Do you have special accommodations?
No. The locations we visit require tourists be reasonably active and in good health without the aid of walkers, wheelchairs or motorized carts. Several of our sites have stairs, uneven pavement and demand quite a bit of walking.

How should I dress?
People typically dress comfortable-casual as there is a fair amount of physical activity. Flat shoes or sneakers are recommended. For the Trolley Tours, it is advisable to bring along a jacket or coat.

What if it rains or snows?
The tour must go on! Even our Walking Tours brave the elements. Heck, if ghosts can't scare us, water or snow sure can't! The Trolley Tours enjoy the luxury of air-conditioning, heating, and windows that open and close.

Is there an age limit?
Yes, people under 14 years old are not allowed.

Can I bring alcohol?
Nope. We have zero-tolerance for alcohol on the tours, and for drunks who try to goof up the tour for everyone else. There is no alcohol allowed on any of our tours. Anyone arriving obviously inebriated to any tour will be refused service WITH NO REFUND.

Do you guarantee that I’ll encounter a ghost?
No. All of our locations are authentic, all of our stories from our investigations are authentic, and all manifestations you may experience are authentic. We don’t do anything phony or made-up.

Can I bring a camera or videotape recorder?
Tape recorders and other ghost-verifying equipment are welcome, but NOT videocameras. Cameraphones will not be allowed to record the tours, except still photos.

I took some great photos on the tour! Where do I send them?
Please send them to us at Photos@HauntedAlton.com. We would love to see your tour photos. They may possibly end up on our site (giving you photo credit, of course).
