story submission information

Please read and follow these guidelines before submitting a story:

* Anything you send to us may be used by our company in any way forever without compensation to you, except author credit.
* Anything you send to us will be expected to be your personal true experience. In the future, we will quite possibly add a section for fiction entries, but for now, keep it real.
* Your story will probably be edited for spelling, grammar and clarity. We will try to keep as much of the original story as possible to retain atmosphere and mood.
* If your story is an experience you had while on our tours, please include as much info as possible: date, tour guide, location, type of tour you were on, etc.
* Just because you send us something, doesn’t mean we’ll use it.
* Don’t send us sex stories. There are enough other sites that want that stuff!
* Don’t send us your book. If you print out your story and it’s more than 10 single-spaced, one-sided pages, save it for some other time.
* You must include personal info with your story. Your real info will be kept for our records only, and will NOT be shared with anyone. If you want your real name to be kept private, feel free to use a fake name as the author. The info we want:
            Your name
            The name you want to use as the author
            Your mailing address (street, city, state, zip, the usual stuff)
            Your email address
            Your phone number
* If you have photos that accompany your story, please email us about it before submitting your story.
* All submissions must be previously unpublished in any commercial venue, print or online. If you have ever posted your story on any other website, please include that information with your submission. This includes blogs on MySpace, and other personal page websites. Previously blogged stories can be submitted, we just want to know if they ever did or do show up online anywhere else.
* All electronic submissions must be in these formats: rtf (rich text format), doc (Word document), txt (text).
* Electronic submissions can be sent as attachments, but all attachments will be scanned for viruses. If your submission has a virus, you will be required to snail mail your story.
* Electronic submissions will NOT be accepted as zipped files.
* We will add to this list as we think of more things.
