Join us for a 2-hour tour through the Milton School

We are again offering our popular "Frightmare" tour. The tour route takes you into the deepest, creepiest parts of the school - areas where manifestations occur frequently.

On October 6th, the Milton School was featured on the show "Ghost Hunters" on the Syfy Channel in an episode titled "Grammar School Ghosts".

Explore the same places that T.A.P.S. investigated and see if you get the same results they did.

The Frightmare tour is a 2-hour ghost hunt and tour that goes through the entire basement area of the Milton School including the Gymnasium, Boys Shower Room, Girls Shower Room, Girls Bathroom and the Boiler Room. As we continue to encourage the spirits to give us proof of their presence, we get more information from them. 

There are three Dark Room Sessions during the tour. (For those of you who don't know what a "Dark Room Session" is, we have all the lights off and see what manifestations may happen, it is not a séance or group hypnosis.)

The tour begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends about 9:00 p.m. Check our Event Calendar for dates and space availability.

Reservations are made only through our Event Calendar. All reservations must be paid in advance. Make sure to bring flashlights and dress warmly - the places we go are dark and not heated.

The cost is $20 per person. Group size is 5 to 20 people. There must be paid reservations of at least 5 people one hour before tour is to begin or tour will be canceled. No refunds unless we cancel a tour.

Guests meet at the left entrance of the school that faces Milton Road, doors open 10 minutes before tour begins. The address is 1320 Milton Road, Alton, Illinois 62002.

This tour is NOT recommended for people who can not easily travel stairs or stand for a 2-hour period. There are no public restroom facilities or drinking fountains available during the tour.

The Frightmare tour is also available as a private tour for more hardcore ghost hunters. Private tours are $200 for 4 people, $40 per person after that, 10 person maximum. As a private tour, times and dates are flexible. To book a private tour through the Milton School, please email Alixandria@HauntedAlton.com.

Our usual tour policies apply: No smoking inside building, no alcohol, age limit is 14 years old, refunds are only issued if we cancel a tour.

Ghost hunters are encouraged to dress warmly, as the places the tours go through the school are not heated. You are welcome to bring flashlights, cameras and ghost hunting equipment.
