Custom Tours
* Each of our special tours are available throughout the year. During our regular Halloween season (mid-September through mid-November), tours may not be available on the weekends. *
Private Tours - The private tours we currently have available are the "6 Neighborhoods" tour, and our "Civil War" tour. For the "6 Neighborhoods" tour, you visit 6 of the several areas that make up the present City of Alton. Our "Civil War" tour has you visiting sites that relate to the Civil War and Civil War era.
Some of the curbside locations on the "6 Neighborhoods" tour are 6 Chimneys, Kerns House, Jacoby Art Center and Milton School. The investigation sites are Riverview Park, Lovejoy Monument and Milton Cemetery.
Some of the curbside locations on the "Civil War" tour include Enos Apartments. The investigation sites are the Confederate Prison site, the Confederate Cemetery and "Smallpox Island".
One of our tour guides takes your group on a 3-hour tour. The guide meets you and gives you pointers on how to see ghosts. The guide drives you to many sites where you remain curbside while listening to the stories and history of that location. Throughout the tour, there are three places where you get out of the vehicle and actually enter the area to do your own investigating. Tour dates are by pre-arrangement only, and are $40 per person, for groups from 2 to 7 people. Email Reservations@HauntedAlton.com to make arrangements.
Step-on Guided Tours - The guide meets the motor coach at the Alton Convention and Visitors Bureau. After boarding, the guide will tell you different ways to see ghosts. You hear all the scary stories about the sites as you take our 3-hour Entity Express Tour (as motor coach size allows). You have three occasions to disembark and enter the haunted locations for your chance to meet a ghost personally. The tour ends back at the Visitors Bureau. Customized Tours - Created exclusively for your group or organization for a unique tour experience. We work hand-in-hand with you to develop a special haunted tour. Tour dates and price are by pre-arrangement only, for group sizes of at least 14 people. Email Reservations@HauntedAlton.com to make arrangements.
